The Ninth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF9) took place from 7 to 13 February 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Forum is held every two years and gathers a wide range of experts in the field of sustainable urban development and human settlements. WUF9 was the first large-scale event on urban development after the adoption of the New Urban Agenda during the Habitat III Conference in October 2016. 

Human Rights up Front speaks to the essence of the United Nations. It is a lens through which the Organization will examine and respond to threats of serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law and by that identify actions needed to prevent mass atrocities and armed conflict.
