UN-Habitat postpones the first Executive Board meeting of 2020
Nairobi, Kenya 20 March 2020 – UN-Habitat has announced that, based on the recommendation by the Bureau of the Executive Board of UN-Habitat during its meeting on 19 March 2020, the first session of the Executive Board 2020, scheduled to take place from 31 March to 1 April 2020 at UN-Habitat headquarters in Nairobi, has been postponed.
The Bureau of the Executive Board made this recommendation based on consultations related to the COVID-19 situation and measures put in place by both the Government of Kenya, the United Nations and the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON).
An update on any new potential dates for the first session of the Executive Board 2020 which UN-Habitat will officially communicate to Member States in due course.
