En el marco de la asistencia técnica para formular la Política Nacional de Desarrollo Integral de las Ciudades (PNDIC) y con el apoyo de la Agencia Sueca de Desarrollo Internacional (ASDI), ONU-Habitat ha realizado un estudio y propuesta metodológica para identificar la configuración del sistema de ciudades de Bolivia, incluida su caracterización general, con miras a recuperar la mirada de la escala urbana nacional en la gestión del territorio nacional.

Report on UN-Habitat pre-conference workshop conducted in line with Caribbean Urban Forum on using the asset-based approach for integrating health in urban and territorial planning.

In support of planning, management, and implementation of actions to address recovery needs and urban durable solutions, UN-Habitat has developed the position paper « The territorial dimension of displacement in northern Mozambique » that aims to advocate for the promotion and joint implementation of integrated urban interventions improving the living conditions of host communities and IDPs, as well as supporting a local governance mechanism to drive sustainable urban development.

The UN-Habitat’s report - Cities and Pandemics: Towards a more just, green and healthy future – evidences how cities can reduce the impact of future pandemics and become more prosperous, fair and environmentally friendly. The Report calls for the response and recovery to pandemics to be based on human rights principles. It outlines how cities should lead the move towards a New Social Contract between governments, the public, civil society and the private sector.

UN-Habitat developed the Spatial Development Framework (SDF) methodology with tools like the Matrix of Functions, to assist national, regional and local governments to make spatially informed strategic decisions to achieve policies, plans or strategies, based on the empirical understanding of the territorial dynamics. UN-Habitat implemented the MoF in Maputo Metropolitan Area to support an integrated territorial development for the area and prepared this report to present the results.

The Jubaland State Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing (MPWRH) has prepared this Urban Profile to summarise analyses and data collected across different systems, sectors and key actors from the spatial perspective in an attempt to contribute in an effective way to develop a shared understanding of the complexity of urban crisis in the context of Kismayo.

En 1991, la Guinée s’est dotée d’un outil de maîtrise de la croissance urbaine rapide, à savoir le Schéma National d’Aménagement du Territoire (SNAT) dont la finalité générale consistait à « modifier et optimiser la répartition des individus et de leurs activités sur le territoire national dans un souci d’équilibre géographique, d’épanouissement social, d’efficacité économique et environnementale ». Le présent rapport porte sur l’examen participatif de la mise en œuvre de cet outil.
