Icons-08يعيش 85 بالمئة من نسبة الشباب على مستوى العالم في البلدان النامية بل ويزداد عددهم عن ذلك في المدن. ومن المقدر بحلول 2030 أن يصل 60 بالمئة من سكان المناطق الحضرية ممن هم دون 18 عام. على مستوى العالم يجد الشباب تزايد في صعوبة اختراق سوق العمل. ويمثل الشباب 25 بالمئة من نسبة السكان ضمن عمر العمل على مستوى العالم ولكن يُسجل 43.7 بالمئة من العاطلين عن العمل.
