Madagascar holds successful national urban forum
Antananarivo, 21 October 2015— More than 550 participants drawn from all urban actors and international development partners met over three days in Antananarivo to exchange experiences and solutions on sustainable urban development as Madagascar held the second National Urban Forum.
The attendees included 180 mayors recently voted into office in the recent elections that were the culmination of the post-crisis political normalization. Also present were cabinet ministers and members of the diplomatic corps.

‘One UN’ approach to Spatial Planning in "Area C" of the occupied West Bank
Ramallah, 14th October- The United Nations Country Team for the occupied Palestinian Territories has endorsed a joint approach towards planning in Area C entitled “One UN Approach to Spatial Planning in Area C of the occupied West Bank.” Area C was defined in the Oslo II Accords of 1995 accounts for more than 60 percent of the West Bank's land mass and remains under Israeli control.
