Bonn, 12 November 2017 – City commitments to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions announced at the UN climate change summit in Bonn, represent nearly seven million people, or roughly one in every 10 people on the planet.
The commitments, made under the Global Covenant of Mayors and presented in a new impact document at COP23, demonstrate the unquestionable position of cities around the world to make real and significant impacts to climate action.


Durban 3 November 2017 – Representatives from intergovernmental organizations, national and local governments, civil society organizations, practitioners, researchers and private sector converged in Durban last week for the Second Africa Forum for Urban Safety (AFUS) Learning Exchange to build further on the commitments made at the national, regional and global level to make the cities inclusive,
Manama 9 November 2017--UN-Habitat in collaboration with The Supreme Council for Women and the Bahrain Engineering Association organised the Bahrain Conference on Women and Engineering and a training workshop on Gender in Urban Planning and Design in Manama early this week.
