Bogota 7 August 2015— UN-Habitat in conjunction with its partners, the National Savings Fund (FNA) and Portfolio recently hosted a forum in Bogota during which the participants agreed for a post conflict urban agenda for Colombian cities.
Bogota 7 August 2015— UN-Habitat in conjunction with its partners, the National Savings Fund (FNA) and Portfolio recently hosted a forum in Bogota during which the participants agreed for a post conflict urban agenda for Colombian cities.
The next two years the Government of Colombia will promote the strategy of Amicable Cities defined in the National Development Plan 2006-2010 for the improving of housing and the promotion of macro projects of national interest for land housing and services supply at the regional level. The strategy for international cooperation 2007-2010 with UN-HABITAT gives emphasis to four strategic areas:
Improving the conditions of poverty, sustainable development, governance and peace and security. Additionally, the goal for water and sanitation is for the construction of 32 Departmental plans developed to improve water and sanitation access to 3.6 million and 4 million inhabitants.
This report examines the impact of climate change on urban settlements and adaptation strategies and practices, and particularly low-income groups’ adaptation in Colombia.
This report on Colombia forms part of a study of law and land tenure in four Latin American countries. The study also includes a much broader regional overview covering land tenure throughout Latin America.
A number of common and broad themes emerge from these studies, applicable in different degrees within the specific country contexts.
