This report explores some of the critical challenges that converge at the intersection of climate change and land governance. Some of these challenges are droughts, desertification, disaster risk, land and water management, land degradation and restoration, soil erosion and conservation, biodiversity, and food security.

Developed in line with a whole-of-society approach, informed by government and transnational policies, community perspectives and sound urban planning principles, this vision lays the foundation for the social, economic and spatial regeneration of these communities in Turkana County, Kenya.

Based on a spatially focused and cross-sectoral situational analysis of urban settlements hosting displaced populations, this multi-level profile allows locals, stakeholders, and readers to develop a comprehensive spatial understanding of the existing situation as a basis for evidence-based decision making for long-term urban development strategies and infrastructure investment planning.
