UN-Habitat facilitates training sessions to celebrate Cameroonian NGO’s anniversary
Yaounde, 5 July 2017— Cameroonian para-state, MAETUR (Mission d’Aménagement et d’Équipement des Terrains Urbains et Ruraux/The Urban and Rural Land Development and Equipment Authority), recently invited UN-Habitat to contribute to a range of activities to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.
In the context of ongoing collaboration with MAETUR, UN-Habitat presented the preliminary findings of the key pillars of the strategic re-orientation of MAETUR. The study is ongoing and the outline of the work was well received.
UN-Habitat joins forces with partners to address living housing needs of refugees, migrants
Berlin, 04 July 2017-- In order to address the rising tide of refugees and migrants over the years, UN-Habitat co-launched the Mediterranean City-to-City Migration (MC2CM) project that brings together experts and cities to contribute towards improved migration governance at city level, including migrants' access to housing, basic services and human rights.

Strengthening land management for peaceful coexistence in Darfur, Sudan
Khartoum, 15 June 2017— UN-Habitat ’s office in Khartoum in collaboration with GLTN regional office for Arab states and in partnership with UNDP Sudan Country office, recently organized a four-day training workshop to provide hands-on training on relevant tools and techniques, through participatory planning and enumeration, to ensure returns and reintegration processes are sustainable.
