This end-term Project evaluation of the “Fostering Tenure Security and Resilience of Palestinian Communities through Spatial-Economic Planning Interventions in Area C”, West Bank, Palestine for the period of 2017-2020 focused on the assessment of the results achieved and the lessons learnt from the implementation of the of the Project.

The UN-Habitat - RELIEF Centre Hamra Neighbourhood Profile is generated within an area-based framework, and is a report containing original spatialized multisectoral, multicohort data and analysis. It provides critical evidence for coordination and programming by local authorities, community organizations, sector specialists, and multisector practitioners.

En 1991, la Guinée s’est dotée d’un outil de maîtrise de la croissance urbaine rapide, à savoir le Schéma National d’Aménagement du Territoire (SNAT) dont la finalité générale consistait à « modifier et optimiser la répartition des individus et de leurs activités sur le territoire national dans un souci d’équilibre géographique, d’épanouissement social, d’efficacité économique et environnementale ». This midterm evaluation assessed UN-Habitat Afghanistan’s Municipal Governance Support Programme (MGSP). The programme’s overall objective is to “improve stability and stimulate local economic development in target municipalities through enhancing municipal governance, increasing local revenues, improving tenure security and strengthening the social contract between citizens and the state.”

The report assesses the statutory and customary land administration systems in the five Darfur states and provides guidance on how to secure land and property rights of the people voluntarily returning to Darfur and of other vulnerable groups - such as IDPs, refugees, women and youth. UN-Habitat has conducted an objective, evidence-based assessment on the application of physical planning laws in 18 cities of the Land-Rich Developed Countries Region. The selection of cities is based on the UN Global Sample of 200 cities as a statistically and regionally representative dataset.
