Kalobeyei Infrastructure Corridor Development Plan Stakeholder Workshop on Mobilizing Investments, Summary Report

In 2019, the County Government of Turkana County, Kenya, in partnership with UN-Habitat, initiated planning for the land adjacent to the Kalobeyei Settlement, and the A1 Road connecting Kenya and South Sudan. This transportation link is part of the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor. The planning area covers community land owned by the Turkana community living in the area (Kakuma-Kalobeyei).

As part of the stakeholder engagement activities, the partners organized a workshop on “Mobilizing Investments”, which plays a critical role for the plan to be realised. The findings of the workshop are captured herein.
