UN-Habitat’s Kenya Country Programme with funding from the EU is launching a call for proposals (CFP) to seek partnership in the project Partnership Implementing the New Urban Agenda – PINUA. The Project requires the services of an Implementing Partner for Execution of Green eco-coproduction and support of housing finance products for Muhoroni Incremental Housing in Kisumu County.

 

The proposal must demonstrate how the Implementing Partner will contribute to the outputs below namely:

a. Provide an outline of the processes of community engagement in construction of the pilot units.

b. The Implementing Partner shall assist in preparing the selected communities for eco-coproduction of green incremental housing that will facilitate replication and scaling-up across Kenya.

c. Collaborate with Vocational Training institutions to carry out practical learning and production of building materials and technologies.

d. Create and train on business opportunities for Housing supply chains through set up of artisanal semi-industrial SMEs that remain sustainable even after completion of the pilot units.

e. Promote incremental housing development by supporting self-built housing through innovative and affordable housing finance solutions of the PINUA project.

f. Draw out a comprehensive and practical framework of engagement with a supportive network of stakeholders invested in the housing sustainability programmes assisting the selected communities with a roadmap for effective engagement, collaboration, and communication.

g. Collaborate with the county and National governments in carrying out this assignment in the respective communities of Shauri Yako and Shauri Moyo.

h. Document the process as best practices and lessons learned.
