L’étude est applicable aux provinces du Nord Kivu, du Sud-Kivu et de l’Ituri. Bien que les trois provinces soient caractérisées par une série presque interminable des rébellions, des violences armées, et d’une crise foncière ; la réalité de la vie sociale locale est plutôt complexe et non uniforme. C’est justement cette vie sociale qui influence l’organisation particulière du régime foncier, ou plutôt des régimes fonciers récurrents dans la région.

Making cities sustainable through rehabilitating polluted urban rivers: Lessons from China and other developing countries 2019 This publication, a joint effort of UN-Habitat and Tongji University, shares the rich experiences of China and other countries in addressing the enormous challenges faced during rapid population growth, urbanization and industrialization, and demonstrates technical, managerial and financial solutions developed to improve water quality and the general environment of urban rivers through well-developed wastewater management systems. These solutions will be a catalyst for better practices globally.
Gender Sensitive Mini-Bus Services and Transport Infrastructure for African Cities 2019 This Toolkit provides minimum standard guidelines and practical tools for creating safer and more accessible public transportation systems for women in African cities. It aims at showing public transport operators how to improve their services for women and at local and national government authorities. UN-Habitat and the Flone Initiative developed the Toolkit based on the research conducted in Nairobi, Kenya, showing that women have travel patterns from men and often experience sexual harassment in the streets or on public transport.
