O Perfil do Setor de Habitação (PSH) é um estudo de diagnóstico cujo objetivo principal é servir de suporte à elaboração e implementação de uma Política Nacional de Habitação, bem como de outras iniciativas de desenvolvimento habitacional, e assim cooperar para a promoção de habitação acessível e apropriada para todos os cabo-verdianos. O estudo para Cabo Verde foi elaborado pelo Governo de Cabo Verde, através do Ministério das Infraestruturas, do Ordenamento do Território e Habitação (MIOTH), com a assistência técnica da ONU-Habitat, apoio do Instituto Nacional de Estatísticas (INE) e do Instituto Nacional de Gestão do Território (INGT). O PSH oferece ao país a oportunidade de identificar os aspetos e as ações prioritárias para a realização dos compromissos globais, como os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (Agenda 2030), Agenda 2063 da União Africana, e a Nova Agenda Urbana, bem como o Plano Estratégico de Desenvolvimento Sustentável.

The formal private sector in Lesotho concentrates on housing at the very top of the market leaving the majority unserved by formal housing supply. As in other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the great majority of housing in Lesotho is built by people themselves incrementally and sometimes in partnerships with small contractors.The Profile argues that policy interventions should focus on facilitating access to better services and self-construction to enable it to be more efficient without raising its cost.

Este Perfil del sector vivienda en El Salvador se centra en el tema habitacional, principalmente en zonas urbanas. Es un análisis amplio con el propósito de arrojar luz sobre el funcionamiento de los sistemas de oferta y de demanda de la vivienda en el país, tal como funcionan actualmente. Este análisis identifica las limitaciones del sector para lograr el objetivo de una vivienda adecuada para todos y todas. También tiene el propósito de producir un mejor conocimiento y comprensión del sector, que permitirá al Gobierno de El Salvador (GOES) y en particular al Vice Ministerio de Vivienda y Desarrollo Urbano (VMVDU) formular estrategias e instrumentos para mejorar el funcionamiento del sector y elaborar una política de vivienda. En ese sentido, el perfil identifica posibles acciones que podrían tomarse para mejorar el funcionamiento del sector habitacional.

The Housing Profile report of Viet Nam will certainly contribute to the effort of the government of Viet Nam to review and advance the urban agenda in the context of the sustainable urbanisation paradigm and to provide wider accessibility to adequate housing, as outlined in the Habitat Agenda (1996).
