The website will allow people to discover what P4CA is all about; who they are, what they do, their events and how to get involved and will be a platform for organizations or individuals to join P4CA.

Khartoum, 17 February 2019 – The Government of Japan has pledged USD 700,000 for the Emergency Support to IDP Return in Alsalam Locality, South Darfur State project for a period of one year starting from March 2019. The UN-Habitat project will benefit 17,100 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and members of host communities in Dagariss village, located 22 km Southwest of Nyala, the capital city of South Darfur.

LUSAKA, January 2019 – Countries in Southern Africa define their urban or rural areas in diverse ways. Current approaches use criteria such as population size and density, administrative functions, economic purpose and political delineations. This significantly affects both the number of urban areas and the share of population living in such areas in these countries. When a common approach is used to define urban areas, the sub-region is more urbanized than previously thought.
Geneva, Switzerland, February 2019 - The Global Alliance for Urban Crises officially launched a series of knowledge products at Humanitarian Networking and Partnerships Week 2019 in Geneva.
The products were produced by multi-constituency Alliance Working Groups, and focus on the key objectives, including urban profiling for a shared understanding of crises in urban contexts, stronger collaboration among actors through an urban protocol, mobilizing the right expertise in urban crises through the Urban Competency Framework, and shaping common goals through urban resilience.
