South Korea, 13 January 2016 - UN-Habitat and OECD hosted the second Expert Group Meeting of Policy Unit Three, National Urban Policies, during the National Urban Policy Week in Incheon, South Korea. It took place from 15-16th December and brought together 13 participants.

Experts discussed the importance of National Urban Policy for the New Urban Agenda. They focused on the challenges and priorities for National Urban Policy and discussed its implementation.  Country-level examples were presented at the International Conference on National Urban Policy and the Habitat III Secretariat briefed the participants on the process and expected outcomes of the Policy Unit. Progress was made on the Policy Unit Framework and there were discussions on the next steps to finalize the Framework by 31 December 2015. The strategy for developing the policy paper for the Policy Unit 3 was also agreed.
