Dear Partner,

The United Nations Human Settlement Programmes (UN-Habitat) and The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) are joining forces to organize online South-South exchange webinars under UNOSSC's Global South-South Development Centre Phase II project framework.

UN-Habitat is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities. UN-Habitat is the focal point for all urbanization and human settlement matters within the UN system. UN-Habitat works in over 90 countries to promote transformative change in cities and human settlements through knowledge, policy advice, technical assistance and collaborative action. Through its Waste Wise Cities and African Clean Cities Platform programmes, UN-Habitat works with national and local governments to achieve waste Sustainable Development Goals and the other global agendas, such as Paris Agreement, New Urban Agenda, etc.

UNOSSC was established to promote, coordinate and support South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) globally and within the United Nations system. UNOSSC initiated the GSSDC II, fully funded by the Government of China, aims to facilitate technological cooperation, capacity development, and exchanges of technological solutions, technical know-how and good practices to support developing countries in addressing their development priorities towards the achievement of the SDGs.

With the following questionnaire we want to identify development needs and areas of interest of municipal solid waste management stakeholders. The information collected will be treated confidentially and used under the supervision of UN-Habitat and UNOSSC for the development of online South-South exchange on technological cooperation and capacity development webinars.
