The roadmap for 2026 includes hybrid and virtual intersessional meetings for Member States, nominated experts and other stakeholders to pursue the work on the identified thematic areas toward the third meeting of the Working Group (OEWG-H3).
UN-Habitat is pleased to invite the experts nominated by Member States and the Permanent and Observer Missions representatives to attend the planned intersessional thematic in-person and online meetings.

The virtual intersessional thematic meetings are scheduled according to the following calendar:
- Housing Sustainability and Resilience: 19 May 2026, 13:30–15:30 EAT (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish), hybrid format, Baku, Azerbaijan (WUF13)
- Integrated Housing Policies: TBC
- Enabling Land Management Tools for Housing Provision: TBC
The draft recommendations drawn from these virtual thematic intersessional meetings will be compiled in a summary that will be presented at OEWG-H3 or subsequent sessions, with similar processes taking place in 2027 and 2028, leading to a comprehensive set of housing policy recommendations to be presented at the third session of the UN-Habitat Assembly in 2029.
