The water, sanitation and hygiene in disaster prone communities programme in Nothern Ghana was implemented from June 2014 – May 2017 in three Northern Regions of Ghana as a joint initiative implemented by UN-Habitat, UNDP, WHO and UNICEF. The programme was funded by the Government of Canada with USD 15,314 million. The programme focused on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in disaster prone communities delivering new and rehabilitating boreholes, school latrines, communityled total sanitation village savings and loan associations, and WASH related awareness raising and training activities.
