Brigitte Bariol-Mathais is a general architect and planner with the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion and a general delegate at the French National Federation of Urban Planning Agencies (Fnau) based in Paris. Fnau coordinated the French contribution to the UN-Habitat flagship programme “People-centred smart cities”. Fnau also oversees the coordination of the French Partnership for Cities and Territories (PFVT), a multi-stakeholder platform to prepare for the sessions of the World Urban Forum.
Brigitte Bariol-Mathais has lent her expertise in the preparation of UN-Habitat’s International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning and for the Habitat III Policy Units paper Urban spatial strategies: Land market and segregation.
