General Information
The NYC Urban Thinkers Campus (NYC UTC) will begin with welcoming remarks by Mary Rowe, Executive Vice President of the Municipal Art Society of New York, and Mary Watson, Executive Dean of The New School of Public Engagement.
Short presentations will then cover the goals and context of the Urban Thinkers Campuses and participation mechanisms and processes leading up to Habitat III and the drafting and implementation of the New Urban Agenda.
In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in three of nine Urban Labs, interactive discussions moderated by NYC UTC partners, working toward consensus on a set of recommendations to carry forward into the “zero draft” of The New Urban Agenda.
In a final plenary, Urban Lab moderators will report back and answer questions about two tangible policy prescriptions developed during their sessions.
