How can ethics guide cities towards just, inclusive, sustainable, resilient and well-governed futures?

The first Australian Urban Thinkers Campus, co-hosted by World Vision International and the UN Global Compact - Cities Programme, will focus on principles, policies and action planning aimed at bringing ethics and values to the forefront of city planning and urban governance. It will explore the ethics of the city under three themes:

Ethical Urban Development – What defines ethical leadership at the city, business and community level? How can ethical principles be considered into city planning and local businesses? What does it mean to be an ethically engaged citizen?
Urban Resilience – What does success look like when urban resilience is supported by an ethical framework? What are the requisites to accelerate the implementation of innovative programs and projects that enhance community resilience?
Inclusion and Right to the City – What is the role of the city’s key stakeholders in promoting the inclusion of all city dwellers, specifically migrant communities? How can we improve the rights and protection for the most vulnerable, and provide equitable and dignified access to services and opportunities, especially for children and youth?
