The meeting which aims mainly to inaugurate the new members of the Committee, and endorse its Project Document for the 2016-2-019 Work Programme, will be chaired by Mayor Kadir Topbas the Chair of the Committee. The meeting will also discuss how to further leverage the contributions of the revitalized UNACLA to the ongoing international debates on post-2015 development goals, the new urban agenda and other political processes relating to sustainable urban development.

Consequently, UNACLA now comprises of 20 members in total with 10 coming from the United Cities and Local Government committees (UCLG), and the remaining 10 from the members of Global Task Force and other Local Government Associations who are active in the debates on the post-2015 development goals, new urban agenda and other related ongoing international processes."
