– Support for the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Most Vulnerable Urban Areas in Beirut Impacted by the Port Explosion

In March 2021, through a US$ 2.16 million grant from the Government of Japan, UN-Habitat initiated a project to address urgent urban recovery and reconstruction needs of Beirut. In line with Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, the objective of the project is to support the recovery and rehabilitation of Beirut through building back better, targeting vulnerable population groups and neighbourhoods, impacted by the explosion.
