Driven by early experiences in his native Bogotá, Colombia, Santiago Garcés Escobar has dedicated his career to making government work better for people through technology, process, and design. He is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Boston. He was a Schmidt Futures International Strategy Forum Fellow, and is currently a Senior Fellow with the Burnes Center at Northeastern University and the Governance Lab. He served as a co-founding board member of the MetroLab Network.
