A holder of an MSc in Urban Development and a BA in Architecture, Rogelio Alcocer Gómez is the Under Secretary of Urban Development, Government of the State of Queretaro, Mexico.
He is in the process of finishing his master’s degree in valuation of assets.
Rogelio Alcocer Gómez has more than 13 years of experience as a public servant for regional and local governments; as a specialist in zoning and land use; in the development of public policies related to land use; in construction, and housing; in real estate developments (industrial, commercial and housing); in public consultation of citizens; and in the creation of urban development programmes.
As the Under Secretary of Urban Development for the Government of the State of Queretaro (since 2021), Rogelio Alcocer Gómez has been in charge of public policies related to urban administration, urban planning, public consultation of citizens (urban), and urban design of infrastructure. He has coordinated and achieved the State of Queretaro’s Territorial Planning and Housing Programs, nine urban development and land use municipal programmes, and is currently working on hosting World Habitat Day 2024 in Queretaro.
