General Information

Indonesia has a vision to raise its sovereign, independent, personality based on mutual cooperation, by improving the quality of life of Indonesian society through inclusive development and improving national productivity, welfare through the development of decent and sustainable settlement for all in good environmental condition.

Given this, Indonesia is committed to host a regional ministerial meeting for Habitat III preparation with a purpose to discuss sustainable urbanization towards new urban agenda. The meeting will be held following the World Habitat Day Commemoration on 5th October 2015, as an important momentum to increase awareness, commitment and partnership towards inclusive, safe and sustainable cities and human settlement.

The High Level Regional Meeting for Habitat III in Asia-Pacific will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in October 2015 with a proposed theme of "Sustainable Urbanization in Asia-Pacific Region : Towards a New Urban Agenda”
