Rajan has over 30 years of experience in microfinance, housing microfinance and social development and has worked in over 30 countries in Asia, Central Asia, Africa and the Caucasus. He has been instrumental in establishing 15 independent Microfinance institutions in 10 countries including rural banks, cooperatives, credit unions and non-banking finance companies. As Managing Director of Habitat for Humanity India, he established the Sensitise to Sanitise Coalition to eliminate open defecation which has has touched the lives of over 3.2 million people across India.
