Shenzhen has transformed itself from a small fishing village into a global economic powerhouse in just over 40 years. It has experienced rapid economic, social and environmental transformation and is described as being innovative, inclusive, young and high-tech. In the book entitled The Story of Shenzhen, UN-Habitat documents the experience of Shenzhen and shares lessons it has learned during the past 40 years.

Results of a national public consultation undertook by UN-Habitat in partnership with Colab to collect the perception of Brazilian city dwellers to stablish a diagnosis of the achievement of SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities). The results are aimed at supporting municipal authorities by orientating public policies to address the challenges of urbanisation.
