February 11, 2021, marks International Day of Women and Girls in Science by the United Nations, which is the opportunity to change the narrative around women and girls by creating an enabling environment for the economic empowerment of women and girls. The 2-hour virtual summit will incorporate the celebration of International Day of Women in Girls in Science in the context of job opportunities to expand economic equity for women and girls. The summit will open with topical remarks from leading women of the diaspora who are reshaping the workforce and influencing economic gender equity. The second session will be a 60-minute, moderated panel discussion with six international and intergenerational panelists who redefine economic development in the context of lifting women out of poverty.
