Organized by the Regional Government of Extremadura with the collaboration of the office of UN-Habitat in Spain.
In the process towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda, and to reflect the commitment of Extremadura as a society committed to both agendas, Cáceres hosts the event “Building the Right to Housing”. The meeting will be a discussion forum focused on access to housing understood as a fundamental right - or, at least, a subjective right of the human being - as well as in the advancement of precepts and objectives arising from other related international agendas.
The event will take place on the 27th and 28th of March 2019 in the San Francisco Complex of Cáceres city and will present a discussion regarding three thematic areas:

» Housing, Society and City
» Housing, Affordability and Innovation
The event will focus on analysing the local, national and international challenges presented by the sector, as well as presenting and sharing innovative tools and solutions that have proven effectiveness in various contexts.
International and National personalities will attend the sessions, including recognized experts in the field of housing and sustainable urban development, representatives of academia, private sector and civil society, among others.
