UNHabitat participated in an International Symposium on The Past, Present and Future of Public Space: Knowledge sharing toward implementation of the New Urban Agenda organised by NGO City Space Architecture in partnership with UN-Habitat, University of Auckland in New Zealand, Hunan University in China and the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP). Discussions at the 2018 Biennale of Architecture held in Venice centred on the ways of incorporating public space and shared urban space into the New Urban Agenda (NUA) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
