The city, conceived as a service, should ensure the access to comprehensive, customized, realtime data and informations. The use of technology and new models in the era of sharing economy should improve citizens’ lives.
Governments and institutions, in an ideal setting, should help citizens trying to drive values within societies, giving access to OpenData.
We believe that it is fundamental to ensure direct participation of citizens and communities in a clear bottom-up approach. This topic has a crucial value in Palermo, a beautiful city but full of contradictions, placed in the middle of the Mediterranean sea but in the suburbs of Europe.
